The Monetary Affairs Commission is designed to examine all financial issues brought before the Student Society and provide recommendations to either the Vice President Finance or the Board of Directors, pursuant to the financial policies of the Northern Undergraduate Student Society.

MAC offers both club funding and student venture grants to the undergraduate student body.

Club funding will be allocated on an event by event basis.

  1. For Senior Clubs, to a maximum of $750.00 per event, and a maximum of $1500.00 per year
  2. For Junior Clubs, to a maximum of $500.00 per event, and a maximum of $1000.00 per year.
  3. New clubs are eligible for probationary funding to a maximum of $100 per semester.

Student venture grants are travel grants offered to undergraduate students to assist students with educational ventures. Each individual grants will not exceed $75.00 and a maximum of $500.00 will not be exceeded per event.

In order for students to apply for any type of funding they will have to fill out an “Action Request Form” that may be obtained at NUGSS. This form will grant students or clubs time on the MAC agenda to have their funding proposal heard by the MAC. An “Action Request Form” details background pertaining to an individual’s or club’s funding request along with a budget including expected costs to be incurred by participating in the proposed event.
